# Finding service connector credentials for Visualsoft

## Required credentials

To [add a Patchworks connector](/product-documentation/patchworks-services/service-connectors/adding-a-service-connector.md) for **Visualsoft**, the following details are required for authentication:

<table><thead><tr><th>Credential</th><th data-type="checkbox">Required</th><th>Note</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><a href="#token">URL</a></td><td>true</td><td>The first part of the full URL provided by Visualsoft.</td></tr><tr><td>Client ID</td><td>true</td><td>-</td></tr><tr><td>Username</td><td>true</td><td>-</td></tr><tr><td>Password</td><td>true</td><td>-</td></tr><tr><td><a href="#version">Version</a></td><td>true</td><td>The last number in the full URL provided by Visualsoft.</td></tr></tbody></table>

## Obtaining credentials

The credentials listed above are needed so that Patchworks can access the required data in **Visualsoft**. If you don't have these details, please contact your representative at **Visualsoft**.

For reference, some notes on credentials are below.

### URL

The URL provided by Visualsoft is likely to be in the form:

```
https://patchworksdev.vscommerce.co.uk/api/soap/wsdl/6
```

For your Patchworks connector setup, you only need the base URL - i.e. everyhing up to (and including) **.co.uk**. Taking the example about, this would be:

```
https://patchworksdev.vscommerce.co.uk
```

### Version

The **version** number is the number at the very end of the URL provided by **Visualsoft**. Taking the example above, this would be **6**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://doc.wearepatchworks.com/product-documentation/patchworks-services/service-systems/supported-service-systems/visualsoft-service-connector/finding-service-connector-credentials-for-visualsoft.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
