Retrying or stopping multiple flow runs (bulk actions)

Introduction

If your run logs include failed and/or running flow runs, you'll see a bulk actions option at the top of the active run logs tab. For example:

You can use a bulk action to (a) select flows currently set to a failure status and retry, or (b) select flows currently set to a running status and stop them.

If there are no flow runs with either a failure or running status, the bulk actions button is not shown.

Need to know

Please see Handling failed process flow runs for points to consider before retrying a failed flow run.

The steps

1

Access your run logs

Log in to the Patchworks dashboardarrow-up-right and access your run logs & queue - ensure the active tab is selected.

2

Select flow runs to retry or stop

If your run logs include entries with a failure and/or running status, you'll see a checkbox associated with each one. Use these to select entries you want to retry/stop, or use the 'select all' checkbox to select all items.

3

Choose a bulk action

Click the bulk actions button at the top of the page. For example:

Depending on your selections, you'll see one or both of the following options:

  • Retry failed (x), where x is the number of failure entries selected

  • Stop running (x), where x is the number of running entries selected

Choose the required option. If you have a mix of failure and running flows to address, you can click one option straight after the other - both actions can run at the same time.

Remember, the bulk actions button is only shown if the logs include at least one flow run set to either a failure or running status.

4

When prompted, confirm that you want to proceed. For example:
