No authentication
Introduction
Typically, users need to provide valid authentication credentials for any instance of a connector that they add - when the instance is created, Patchworks checks that the credentials are valid and if they are, the instance is created.
However, there may be times where you wish to allow users to add an instance without providing any authentication credentials - perhaps you're connecting to a public-facing system, or to a Postman mock server (for example).
User experience of token authentication
When a Patchworks user adds an instance of a connector and chooses to authenticate with a configured no auth authentication method, they are not prompted to enter any credentials. Instead, they go directly to finalising the instance - for example:
